Dhaman Strain
Dahman Strain is the largest group of mares at Al Waab Farm.
Among the most well-known ones, there are the horses of the Nile family and the prestigious members of the Bint Bukra and the Ansata Bint Bukra branches.
The name “Dahman” means "the dark or black.” Originally it was a substrain of the Saqlawi and represented an ideal blend of the Kuhaylan and Saqlawi type.
They are noted for being very well balanced horses. Typically they have the elegance of the Saqlawi and the strength of the Kuhaylan. Their heads are renowned for having exceptional beauty, being very wide between the eyes and relatively short-faced but appearing to have a much more pronounced dish than other strains.
